The minute
you walk into Casa Quintana from the spacious front portal (porch) you get a "home
away from home " feeling as many happy visitors have described it. The open
living/dining area hosts a sumptuous Lyne Archer dining table which seats six,
a gas log cast iron stove for those cozy winter evenings, a sofa /sleeper and
a full entertainment center.
Curtained
French doors lead into the bedroom where you are greeted by a stunning and romantic
king-size sleigh bed, an antique armoire and chest of drawers. Sliding
glass doors lead to a sunlit private patio with an old apricot tree.
The rustic style kitchen can be entered through the bedroom or through the dining
room. This fully equipped kitchen, including microwave, oven and range, fridge,
coffee maker, mixer, blender, pots and pans, and a full set of dinnerware, also
features an antique wood stove, a trastero (cupboard ) and a hand painted Mexican
folk art style table and four chairs.
A
cozy sunroom, ideal for reading or relaxing in the enchanting New Mexico light,
leads from the kitchen to another private patio complete with an outdoor dining
set and portable charcoal grill. A stacked washer/dryer combo is curtained off
in an alcove in the sunroom.
The
opulent bathroom is completely renovated with all new fixtures, tub and shower,
slate tiled floor and a spacious adjoining walk-in closet. Plush towels and soaps
are provided for your stay.
Besides
independent living, Casa Quintana, a leisurely walk to downtown Santa Fe, offers
easy access to shopping and the historic plaza and to the special events that
Santa Fe has to offer year round.
